Difficult areas of treating

In this photo, termites have come up from the ground between the original slab and the patio which was poured after the primary foundation was poured. To complicate the issue, a layer of decorative brick was laid in a design which brought the level of brick up to and lightly above the lowest level of the 2 x 4 footer where the wall studs attach. This looks like a benign bit of construction, however...it is difficult to discover termite activity and then it is difficult to treat. I drilled every 12 inches and injected Termidor SC. As I injected the material, I watched for evidence of the termiticide being forced between the patio and main foundation. This provides clear evidence of 100% barrier placement and protection. Then I provided the homeowner with a wood preservative in the affected which will further prevent termites, beetles, or fungus from attacking the area.
